Christopher F. Hyer, D.P.M

A native of Orlando, Dr. Hyer completed his medical training at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He completed his internship and podiatric (foot and ankle) surgical residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Hyer is one of the first podiatric surgeons to complete an Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship. He completed his advanced fellowship training here at the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center. After fellowship, Dr. Hyer joined a large orthopedic practice in Bradenton, Florida as a foot and ankle specialist. There he was active in the care of world-class athletes in training at the IMG-Bollettieri sports academies.

Dr. Hyer is very active in research in the field of foot and ankle surgery. He has presented at state, national and international meetings and his research is published in highly regarded professional journals.

Dr. Hyer is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery and also in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery.
