Community service is the foundation of what we believe at Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center. Because of this, many of our staff members are involved in local organizations, universities and charities. It’s our way of saying thanks and giving support to those who support us.

Our physicians also consult for The Ohio State University, Ohio University, the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus BalletMet and the Columbus Clippers.

In addition, OFAC:

• physicians teach orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists through partnership with industry as well as organizing grand rounds for regional foot and ankle physicians each month
• physicians have participated in humanitarian outreach programs in Vietnam & Afghanistan
• physicians write books, textbooks, and articles about the foot & ankle
• physicians hold patents and make orthopedic devices
• physicians sit on the board of the Arthritis Foundation
• teaches medical, physical therapy and nursing students for The Ohio State University and Ohio University
• supports local sports teams. For example, Dr. Philbin is team physician for the Olentangy Liberty Football Team
• donates to the Westerville Chamber of Commerce as well as several non-profit organizations
• sponsors First on First, a 5K race to encourage physical fitness
• offers preceptorships for Westerville High School students
• supports Habitat for Humanity
• supports Marathoner in Training
• adopts a family at Christmas
