Active in research in the field of foot and ankle surgery, Dr. DeCarbo lectures at state, national and international meetings and his research is published in peer reviewed professional journals. He also is a review editor for the Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery and Foot & Ankle Specialist. Dr. DeCarbo is a faculty member of the Grant Podiatric Surgical Residency and a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University Department of Orthopedics.
Board qualified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot, Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery, Dr. DeCarbo completed medical school at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. He then completed a six-week traveling fellowship both nationally and internationally, learning advanced techniques in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. DeCarbo also furthered his training as a fellow in the OFAC Podiatric program.
While treating all aspects of the foot and ankle, Dr. DeCarbo has a special interest in advanced reconstructive surgery utilizing external fixation and diabetic foot reconstructive surgery.
