

Our surgeons are always on the cutting edge and are often leading the way in foot and ankle care research. We are committed to advancing patient care through research, which often results in advancements in the field and ultimately improves the care every patient receives.

on our research, our physicians also:
- are involved with the FDA in development of total ankle replacement.
- have developed techniques in the treatment of Achilles tendon conditions.
- have done groundbreaking work with antibiotics in the treatment of diabetic wound infections.
- hold three patents for inventions to assist in minimally invasive surgical techniques for
faster healing and less pain. - are investigating the use of new artificial materials for bone healing and joint replacement.
At OFAC, we are also dedicated to resident education. We train Orthopedic and Podiatric residents from The Ohio State University, Grant Medical Center, Doctors Hospital and Ohio University. We also support a fellowship program and have trained many of the foot and ankle surgeons in central Ohio.
